The finals are a separate compartment. The steering clutch housings DO "share" oil with transmission/reverser on the later 450c's. Lets start with the early 450c's. All you have to remove is a round threaded plug on top of the final drive. Under the seat and easy to get to. There are two brake band adjustments. One is the "initial" adjustment that is done by a nut right under that plug.I have a 450 C dozer. The clutch is on the left floorboard. The brake on the right. It has a 4 speed transmission. The gear selector is on left side armrest outboard. The H-L-R selector is at the same place inbd of the transmission selector. Steering is done with the 2 levers coming out of the floorboard.There is always one out there that just won't bale as tight. Check your belt length for sure.
